Etrend Electronics Incorporated was established and stationed in Science-based Industrial Park, Tainan. It was to be the first IC design company in Taiwan and opened in September 1999.  The capital of Etrend is 400 million NT dollars. Currently, the main products of Etrend are MMC/SD flash card controllers, MSR Decoder, USB Host Controller for MP3.

MMC(MultiMediaCard) is a type of small memory storage card. Its main application is for portable merchandises, such as PDA, cell phones, MP3 Players, digital cameras and computers’ peripheral products. 

Etrend is the third company succeeding in developing MMC controller and the related techniques. At present, a lots of mass production experience have been accumulated. In order to provide complete test services and the mass production techniques of MMC for our customers, we are positively cooperating with vendors. This is based  on the spirit of specialty-sharing.

           ET51xx is a controller IC for USB & MP3 application. It integrates built-in 8-bit microprocessor and embedded firmware, to provide MP3 player function together with external MP3 decoder. ET5106 also provides transfer and control function for USB interface. With music file stored in USB Pen Drive, it's ideal to develop the cost-effective MP3 device & solution.

           The MSR Decoder IC, which we researched and developed by ourselves, includes single track, double tracks and triple tracks. Besides offering the most competitive prices to our customers, the MSR Decoder IC’s outstanding electrical characteristics and constant reliability are just some of the reasons why it is gaining international recognition amongst professionals.
